Yes, that's right. Others who complain here can blame it all for Myetherwallet, but actually that's their problem. Myetherwallet is not a reliable wallet for this type of ICO's. They even write a warning on top of the page.

Thank you! That was my first ICO participation (Around 9,4 ETH) and I want to hold it at least for like 3 years as I really believe in the team behind it and want to see if they can complete their vision. If not...well I guess if you never take risks you'll never win
I haven't seen the warning you mentionend at the Myetherwallet and as I said it was my first ICO, but just from a logical point I assumed that you must have an advantage when you send the ethereum from your own node rather than from one where thousands of people try to send it to the same address at the same time. And since I got in with not even half of the gas recommend and others who used a lot more not - I guess I was right
