Bitcoin is currently an global currency, there are number of nations that prohibit the use of it. I feel what is needed for the ecosystem is a bigger variety of users.
I also think that the ecosystem should prevail and widely used by the people. It is not exactly decided when will be bitcoin the worldwide currency , because many countries have still some issues not to accept it as a legal currency, but I think with the passage of time they will also realize the importance of bitcoin. So I think it will take some time for the whole world to be together on one platform in case of digital currency.
