I believe there are good reasons why they stopped the Slack discussion. Maybe too much hype, accusation, slander, FUD going around that force them to restrict the discussion only to trusted members. I would do the same if I were in similar position.
Getting listed in reputable exchanges will not make much difference. Jahigrant was right to say having a commercial product ready for use will help in realizing the project's values. Godspeed to the team.
I do not believe the team is scammy. I just believe they need to do more to prove themselves worthy.
If they are doing their best, then they surely deserve some moral support.
The project itself, in concept, is still very promising.
