Monero of course will rise 100x-1000x. A mass used cryptocurrency should and must first of all be anonymous. Otherwise it is a state, corporate or small group of people scam or market/people control technique.

True, monero is a solid coin and it is a good investment for anyone interested in crypto but monero has some issues the most important is that it does not scale, if you think bitcoin has scaling problems then monero makes bitcoin look like a spaceship against a car, monero is a niche coin only for those that their primary focus is on anonymity.

But if you want true scaling then you would have to go for an offchain layer. Blockchains simply do not scale. I think I heard Fluffypony say in one of the Bitcoin conferences that it's in their plans to have an offchain layer for Monero.

It does not surprise me, that was basically the decision it was taken on bitcoin with segwit and with the lightning network so I think it is only natural that monero follows the same path, however it seems weird to me, I understand why a coin like bitcoin needs to scale since we are trying to get a good portion of the population using bitcoin, but monero is always going to be a niche coin.
