I sent BTC from Jaxx to the ICO.
Can anyone explain why Aeternity needs me to supply my BTC *private* key? It seems like a major security issue to me and just seems ... odd.
How do I know it is safe to hand this over to the tool?

I could previously see my future AE tokens at: https://wallet.aeternity.com/ but now that just redirects.
