I do think it is very much possible to make profit even without insider information with the instrument you are trading with, whether forex, equity or cryptocurrency. I think most stock markets in the world, insider information is illegal but individual traders and fund managing firms still makes money, otherwise they would all close shop already. But in trading it also does not hurt to stack the odds in your favor, or what some people calls educated guessing. In my opinion that's what a decent trader does, analyzing through technical datas like price history, charts or fundamental analysis with news, updates, market capitalization, etc. and then making an informed decision or as some may call it an educated guess.
