Electrum has always been unstable in my experience and I'm very sorry I've ever used it.
Now I try to recover the BCH from my Electrum wallet and I can't seem to do it since ElectronCash shows
the same unstable behavior I'm familiar with.
Is there any other way to claim my BCH from my Electrum wallet?

You need to recover from seed. Don' t install electroncash in the same computer as electron, i suggest to don' t use election cash at all.
