Definitely agree on this one. Transitions like this go slowly. And governments won't be too fond about having zero control on their currencies. So if it would actually replace fiat currency, my guess is that we could easily wait 50 years. But more likely it will complement fiat currency .
Yeah. It will take quite a long time before Bitcoin fully matures and fiat currencies transition into blockchain technology. Right now, Bitcoin is still in its infancy, so it will be hard to say whenever it could compete with current monetary systems.
But one thing for sure, is that Bitcoin is improving into becoming a robust cryptocurrency to handle payments at a large scale. Hopefully, at some point in the future, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will become stronger towards complimenting fiat currencies. Just my opinion
