It also depends on the quality of the wallet software, which is, in this case, somewhat sub-par and has been this way for almost a year. Several of us have struggled for months with "Unresponsive" windows errors and extremely slow blockchain downloads... and apparently now an Unresponsive Development team is adding to the problems.
