Dude, that actually looks pretty cool.

It's nice, but I still prefer the original.
The 'floating' island on the new logo looks a bit odd, the original had the island on the crescent, or 'C' ( sea ) - don't know it that was intentional

It was, and I think it looks better sitting on the crescent as well.
