Default settings bouncing between 300M and 1.5G... Is this normal?  8G was advertised on the product  

Also wondering how to bump this up (in terms of wattage and processing), if it's not defective.   I've messed around with many settings to no avail.  My usb is set to handle just about anything this can put out and it has ample cooling.
