Sometimes it is really hard to understand how stupid some people can be!
And actually, when you consider that the sun is about a hundred times the diameter of the earth, the rays that seem parallel, are more like this:

and are interspersed throughout, crisscrossing each other an infinite number of times.

In your picture (second one), the lines don't end up back at the sun. They go way above it. Why? The sun is right there at the top of the frame, not far above. Can you explain?
