did miners go over the limit just recently and if so how much is produced from pow? Could probably check the op to find that out, but I'm pretty lazy. If exchanges are taking their time you might have to keep going over the limit over and over again depending on how long they take to swap but it is up to you. I'm more in favor of less coins especially if pos reward is going to be generous. A coin count can increase fast depending on the staking reward. Good staking in itself can almost be like having a masternode. So my vote is for best pos reward possible if you want to increase the number of coins and have it reduced after a certain period of time. Don't know how hard this would be to do, but just a suggestion. Have coins for the swap regardless and will be around for whatever you decide.
Current supply is 40502440.00000000
If it could be swapped over in a day or two then it would be fine. The extra would be made up from the premine development fund. But, I think by the time the exchanges got around to the swap that number could be 42 million and I wouldnt have enough coins for development. I currently have around 4.2 Million for that and based entirely on a hunch I think I will need 3 million to pay for stuff. Im even happy to put those in to Escrow until they are needed. No way is any of this a ploy for personal gain. Im a socialist, I share stuff
This is what I would do.
Scrap the newest blockchain. Create new POS coin 90 million. Easily enough for over mining and covers all holders and provides them with X2 of their balance at the time of the swap. Or if there is no X2 I would create 45 million. Again more than enough to cover all holders and whatever is left they would be destroyed. If it were to happen this second I would need exactly 40502440.00000000. With hindsight I realise now I created to few coins.

Lesson learned.
