Bitcoin forum moderation policy is being abused to censor valid options for bitcoin BTC users to consider.
A proposed new litmus test for "is it an altcoin?" to be applied within existing moderation policies:
If the proposed change is submitted, and accepted by supermajority of mining hashpower, do bitcoin users' existing keys continue to work with existing UTXOs (bitcoins)?
It is clearly the case that if and only if an economic majority chooses a hard fork, then that post-hard-fork coin is BTC.
Logically, bitcoin-XT, Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin Classic, and the years-old, absurd 50BTC-forever fork all fit this test. litecoin does not fit this test.
The future of BTC depends on firmly in the hands of user choice and user freedom. Criticizing what-BTC-might-become posts are antithetical to the entire bitcoin ethos.
