I've used localbitcoins for years and have done trades for a total of several hundred bitcoins. I'm based in Sweden so we have a great app called Swish that suits these kinds of deals perfectly. I've only done one deal face to face and that was when the amount exceeded $10k, worked out without any issues since we both agreed to meet up at a police station
.Localbitcoins is a middle man service to connect you to traders within your country. It's legit go have a look yourself. I too have used it mamyamy times. If I think about it I have probably made about 100 transactions. I'm not sure how many bitcoin I've moved around there but the have me set to a light user between 2-5btc.
