If you want to spread coin around the world, you need to customise you products.
ULA has scrypt algo and ASIC-friendly. GPU-miners can't make some coins on it.
If you want to join GPU-miners, try to use ASIC-resistance algo for ULC.
Maybe old Nist5, or new Skunkhash (or Tribus). All of them are good.
With same parameters, you will get good price and stable coin.

P.S. After all, you can make direct exchange (in your web-wallet) ULC-ULA, and get stable net, and good price for both coins.
