How do I go about accessing funds in my old wallet.dat?

Right now when I try to use it with the new wallet (v1.0.0.0) I get a message:

"Warning: error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
