I see two possibilities;
One, dev abandon that project, just another death coin, he only lost a Newbie account and gain some experience for a future Criptonote coin
The other is that he make the huge work to recapitulate all the early adopters and compensate in a future Iridium fork, via email, PM, address...and huge, but fair premining launch (and resolve the question of Dev fund).

No premine is nice, but I think it's pretty clear a Dev fund is needed.
Not quite worth a lot until it's on an exchange, but it'd help stability, I imagine.
