What is hopeless? Could you please elaborate a little bit further on whatever you fear?
He's just adding pointless fear. A block halving has nothing to do with anything other than mining. The current reward for solving a block is 25 FLO. After the halving (in about a month) the block reward will be 12.5.
AGAIN -- Block halving has absolutely nothing to do with the platform, function, transactions, etc. It only affects mining. Historically, when this happens on a blockchain it increases the value of the coins -- because only half as much is rewarded per block mined.
FLO is a legit coin with competent, non-greed driven developers alongside a growing worldwide community! :-D ~florins ftw!! weeee
