I would say that experienced human trader will always beat bots but not many users can say that they are experienced. Biggest advantage of bot is that he don't need to sleep and he never panics
Active trading on average performs worse than passive, buy-and-hold. But you often hear success stories from active traders, who should be accounted to for by survivor bias, and especially from brokers! who earn commission from every trade. Intuitively, almost every trader will claim he can beat the average.

)On average? Do you mean when it's done by bots or with a human with the knowledge of technical analysis? Most of these "traders" don't have a clue on how to trade, i understand why they would be doing better with holding, because eventually almost everything goes up, as it goes down. It's just with very slow frequenzy. Problem with hodling is that most holders don't have a clue when to sell. Because they don't know that with higher frequenzy trades either, they will eventually lose money with both tactics.
