I have some TIMEREUM on MEW. I can add EXOR and it shows the same amount in TME.
I will be able to swap the exor ONCE to elix and sell these, is this correct? Or will I be able to switch exor to elix more than once? How is this working. Just not getting the explanation.

If you're a genesis holder, the point of sending multiple times (max 10 times) some EXOR amount (at least 0.1 EXOR) from one child address to its parent one is relevant.
If not, then you probably simply bought some TME when it was listed on Nova Exchange so you are storing some in a MEW address.
Then your supposition is false, you can send any EXOR amount (this by using some ETH as gas) to the ELIX's contract address whenever you want so you can convert EXOR into ELIX.
