same kind of issue on the G1 (3 fans model).. but yep, i guess its VRMs under it
I got Zotac 1070 Mini Fan fail too(the one on top of PCIE/VRM area). but this happened in less then 60 days of mining :-(.
Zotac coolers are garbage. Most of them aren't ventilated properly so they get insanely hot and the fans run at 100% till failure. Exception to that is the three fan models. Never buy the two fan models.
Same with g1 1080,1 fan started making noise after 2 months on 60% rpm
Don't buy Gigabyte's, the fans are terrible as I've covered a few different times in this thread. Exception may be the new extreme edition with the weird looking fans (they're double ball bearings). I have a couple and haven't had failures yet.
the most shitty fan i ever seen on 1070 on zotac amp editon .Purchased 10, and all ofthem fan fail within 6-8 months even within a month.Also giga 1070 (G1 windforce) better but still shitty.it seems blowers are best for reliability.
Yes, blowers are best as far as reliability. I've never had one fail. They're just louder.
The current algo I've been working on has a 30% speedup compared to the opensource on the gtx 1070. Might release later today.
This mod has been sold to a private donator and will not be resold..
What algo was it? It is curious how SP isn't even mentioning the algos anymore which leads me to believe these mods don't exist.
Kinda doubt the yiimp hash is SPs miner. He's been talking about it for months, someone probably commissioned an actual dev to make one.
