The question is will alts fall in the short term. I think some ETH alts might because of the coming fork. Also I think there is still the bitcoin issue in November, so that might cause the whole market to fall again.

What you have mentions are very good alt coins. Zrx for example is 0x, which is the building protocol for decentralise exchange. As you may have known that china is closing down on exchanges, decentralise exchange will make it hard for any government to close down. A similar recent ico is kyber and kyber has the backing of vitalik which is the cofounder of ethereum. However, please be careful on what you are buying, because not all the coins are good investment. In fact, most of the coin will be phrase out when better competitor come to the picture.
