Your blog says "Ive been working on the Witcoin project since 2005" ... really? Bitcoin came out in 2009. This sounds sketchy. Best to do research on this team/coin before investing.

Let me clarify that indeed, the WIT project, was first created on 2005-2006 by a research team in the Universitat de Girona. Back then, of course, the project was not intended to be used on Blockchain or Ethereum. As you noted, it didn't already exist yet.
The Wit project has the objective to reward the sharing of knowledge between people, then much more oriented to the scientific community and to reward citations in papers and articles. Unluckily the project didn't go through because, among other problems, we had the problem to reward using coins or other rewarding schemes. You can read more details on this in our

With the invention of cryptocurrencies and the Ethereum platform, we now see a perfect opportunity to relaunch our project, this time with Blockchain technology to back up our concepts. We believe that now is the right time for this project as the ecosystem is ready to embrace it.
