I sent an email with a screenshot but I think you can also ask to write something in the email and the same thing must be present also in the forum profile to confirm that bitcointalk user is the same person sending the email.
For instance I put the address to receive the payment for italian translation also in the field "bitcoin address" of the forum profile.
I have also sent the dev an email yesterday for my payment for Social media. I published a post for my 20k followers on Facebook. I provided a screenshot and a link to my post on FB, as well as my payment address.
