Indeed I believe you are correct. Looking at some of bitcoinbear's posts shows no sign of the type of thing I incorrectly assumed by his participation in the BTC/TF thing and trusting TF (which is still unwise; I strongly advise him to review his trust settings; his current settings are akin to mis-configuring his firewall).
