I like the idea of active web page. Too many coins have a static web page. I would like to people see that we trying to help them. Guides and FAQs are important. I'm quite new to cryptocurrencies and I would have liked to see more info at web pages. Instead of centralized info I had hundreds of pages forum threads. Hodlcoin should be easy for beginners.

I was thinking about integrating pool mining to wallet but maybe guide how to start pool mining is better. Should we host our own pool?

I would love to hear the community opinion on this but my preference is no pool mining but solo mining only....

I'm afraid of that "solo mining only". When using pool you get coins everyday. I like to check my wallet every day and make deposits. Some how it is addicting and fun. Even if you don't have much CPU power you still get steady income. Even kids can mine some coins after school and see those coins in their wallets. No need to be mega miner if you don't want to. Easy to start.

My Monero wallet is much much more valuable than Hooldcoin wallet. I still prefer Hodlcoin. Monero is not interesting to mine. Payment thresholds are 0.3 - 1.0 XMR. This takes weeks or months. I should have got my 0.3 XMR (28$). I have not opened my Monero wallet since... I don't remenber. I demonstrated Hodlcoin to one of my friends. It was easy and he had some coins in his wallet in no time. Suprnova pool takes some time to configure. optiminer.pl is easier. I would like to see a GUI for hodlminer.exe.

Hodlcoin doesn't need Asics or GPUs. Basic CPU is enough so Hodlcoin should be easy enough for basic users.

Monero was profitable until it became popular , in the last 100 days the global hashrate doubled and the difficulty trippled, mostly due to Korea listing it on their exchange, when a coin becomes popular it attracts more miners, the global hashrate increases to a point where solominers wont be making much.. this is the normal lifecycle of all non-POS altcoins... And that is excluding the impact of botnets who essentially mine with stolen equipment.

To Disasterfaster and fishmaster, from a technical point of view the challenges of taking over hodlcoin are going to be:
- block explorer
- seed nodes
- Faucet site ( on testnet and mainnet ) to help new people ? there was a good one on mainnet.
- ability to built wallet for windows / linux / macosX , right now only Fuzz knows how to do it, using his computing resources. ( I only know how to build the linux wallet ).
- exchanges ( yes rebranding is needed ).
- more developers needed !!
   - technical topics needing to be discussed:
1 - payement gateway , needed if you ever want to see light-wallet type apps use Hodl , look at existing api's see if we can integrate
      2 - Freetrade HIP002 proposal , https://medium.com/@freetrade68/hodlcoin-improvement-proposal-002-adf802d2ccb7
3 - The size of the blockchain and the wallet load time ( for me its 5 mins ).
4 - the automation , speed at which we can make new wallets / releases ( volunteer QA people )
- The official website with download links to official software
- Official youtube / twitter / slack channel or telegraph ?
And finally partnerships with like-minded projects.

Your right it needs a leader with fire in their belly , but it also needs a lot of time and energy  ,people forgot sometimes this isn't our main payed job Wink
