Even in crypto currencies we must remember the human factor beyond the tech factor.
I like and believe the IOTA project and dev team. I believe results are coming and this will be the best answer.
But people are the ones making decisions on buying IOTA or adopting its tech.
I think a good PR advisor would help dealing with some episodes, choosing when to answer or not bait posts and the best way to deal with public opinion and protect IOTA brand.
Yes, I think it's time to think and work IOTA as a brand.
And doing some analysis over the way other actors (like ETH devs) are dealing with IOTA project and devs would be strategic too.

Is everyone else cool with how the "IOTA Foundation" basically sucked up all funds that weren't transitioned in a one month period? This feels super centralized and is making me nervous about my participation

They can be "claimed", but we have to "trust" that the "claim" will be "honored", no? What's the point of decentralized money if it's not decentralized?
