It works when you run bin/gdbix.exe first, wait a few minutes and then start the UI. It even says that in the release notice, but I also didn't think of it as the UI "started" but failed to sync with an error afterwards. Anyway, do that and it works.

The fact that they committed those .DS_Store files to the repo doesn't make it look much more professional though.
