That's a huge amount of money for me. So if i'll be given 1 BTC from someone, i would keep the half of it (knowing that the value of BTC is surging up high) in my wallet and the other half for trading.
I would first hug that person and offer him/her at lunch. Giving huge thankful notes and much more 
besides joke, yeah it will be a huge chance for me to make my beginning to better future. I will do same as you intend, half for trading and half in wallet.
