We need to cut our losses and get behind the work that TacoTime is doing with NetCoin. What we are currently doing with ByteCoin is nothing more that a feeble attempt to ride on Bitcoin's coat-tails... a little pathetic chaps (that includes myself.)
I disagree. It is a way to double the transaction capacity, and to focus on a smaller number of industries. Perhaps coffee merchants, or grocery stores. It is very, very easy to define an approximate exchange rate based on the difficulty. Whether or not it was an April 1 item, I still think it has merit.
However, the hash rate has to stay constant. If people mine it heavily then let the block chain stagnate, it will die.
