After one month they will again accept cryptocurrencies? Come on it is not serious.
I start to think that somebody want just play on the role of such big bitcoin world participant as Russia and to make people panic. I am from Russia and I follow all news from my country around bitcoin. Our country make steps to bitcoin regulation, but for now there are only talks, but no any clear position in this case. I don't know Russia go by the rough way of China about crypto-currencies regulation or Japanese's one. Now we may only guess, but don't hurry to believe everything that you read on the forum.

To be fair, that is how it has been in most nations around the world, at the moment. Many have talked about it and maybe set up some sort of moderate regulation for it, but it is still considered a minor topic for most governments and has not reached a magnitude at which something has to be done about Bitcoin. If it does gain major mainstream adoption, I could see not just Russia, but other countries as well start regulating it more drastically to ensure that all of the monetary duties such as taxes are properly accounted for regardless of the currency in which transactions are executed or income is obtained. While I can't see Bitcoin being banned anywhere because of its nature, I can see restrictions being levied on those with significant Bitcoin holdings that could potentially prevent its growth.
