I doubt that there is any other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin.
But it dosent really replace the coins as they still give their function in their own blockchains, it is just that when you can use one blockchain as control panel of every other chain. For some new kind of money to come along that can do the same to bitcoin it would have to be so advanced that we cannot imagine it today. I believe telepathy would be required, or it may be be based on some kind of data that can be sent faster than light.
Bitcoin is the trendsetter in crypto and it is boss of all no other currency can replace it, it give people more room as compare to other and people know about only one coin that is bitcoin and accepting of some other coin is impossible now because there is no one who will initiate to invest in new coin there is a lot of risk so relay on bitcoin is best option.
