when prices are dropping , i usually buy it but sometimes i dont have the money to buy it so i usually wait again for another chance to come. i dont buy altcoins if their value is low or dumped because i dont do trading because i find it hard as a beginer  and its verry risky to do so id rather invest on bitcoins.
