i use Coinbase because they provide a simple, integrated purchase process with two-factor authentication for added security. 
2FA doesn't protect you at all. Coinbase can still be hacked and your private keys may be leaked. I would advise you to use web wallet only for money for small expenses. Hardware wallets or software which allows you to control your private keys is in my opinion the best when it comes to security. Paper wallets are also a good thing to consider.
