I find that very interesting, and now the thread is gone. I looked for more info but can't find any. The google cache page just shows people asking for airdrops.  I wonder if more info will come out soon. Good find.

edit : could also be some dumb scammers who didn't think people would catch on so quickly. Will be interesting to watch in the coming days
