I want to order 10 boards, assembled and hosted etc. Am i right in thinking I pay for the 160 chips now in bitcoins, and the boards and everything else when the prices are finalised? Also, should I get a few extra chips just in case, and if so would 5 extra be enough?

I ordered 2% extra chips on my order. I won't say it's necessary as I have read a lot of members saying that they're all tested before being shipped from Avalon, but I'd rather not risk it. If none are bad, you have some chips you can try putting into K1 boards down the road. Or, you can sell them after you get them in hand to people who did get bad chips who decided not to buy any extras.
