Well if this coin is like Bitconnect then they can afford to do that, we all know how that coin works (most of us do) since they use a loophole of offering said "shitcoin" in exchange for lending contracts in turn "hoping" for the coin to rise from new investors so they have more profits of their reserves to pay the "existing contracts" at the lower locked in rate.

I tend to stay away from these types of coins due to the risk factors of imploding or exit scams yet ETH is doing pretty well for its legitimacy including Vitalik's partial dump

Though do take in mind this is completely different from ETH and is advised to DYOR (Do Your Own Research) before investing in any said ICO, Early Investment Option or Presale !
