People continue to confuse what ETH is. It's not a competitor to Bitcoin.

ETH is a currency that represents processing power over the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum provides access to a blockchain for any sort of project one can think of (which is not possible on Bitcoin's blockchain). The ethereum has made to provide the infrastructure to develop the dapps, just like lisk with sdk but in ethereum that will be more complexible and friendly to develop because as stated in the latest update about the ethereum developers to made the ethereum will be easy to understand.
