Hi...

I've read a lot of post with some of you are pros and some cons to use a single fan GPU (6 or 3GB is the same).

After a not good experience with MSI GTX1060 6GB Gaming X, come with Micron (already sell!) I'm searching for someone new... I'm really confused about the choice of single or dual fan.. about brand... I don't have any idea if it is better to go with "standard" or "gaming" GPU (maybe gaming comes with Micron?!?!) and I don't know if a single fan can be a good choice. I take a look on MSI Aero ITX 6GB... any feedback?
Or did you have any advice? Thank you very much

I've been collecting hashrates for all the 1060 cards - 3GB, 6GB, dual and single fan models. There is no noticable difference in hashrates between the single and double fan units.

The difference occurs in the Samsung vs Micron vs Hynix memory that is on the GPU.

In theory, the double fan units will run cooler but with 2 fans may use slightly more power. I guess even without fans running, there is a larger heatsink.

However, if you are interested in backing power limit off to get the most profitable hashrate (vs the fastest which is also the hottest hashrate), then the single or dual fan will not be a problem. I have dual fans running at 16% keeping my 1060 6GB GPUs at around 60 degrees in a 24 degree room. If there was only a single fan, a rough estimation is that it would need to run at 32% - still nowhere near topped out in its cooling capacity!
