To check your private key, go to you wallet, unencrypt first.
Then Go to HELP>> Debug Window
Click on Console
Type dumpprivkey Onion Address and press enter
It should show your private key too you

i followed your steps but get this message:

Error: Wallet is unlocked for staking only.




You need to completely unlock your wallet.
First lock your wallet and when you unlock your wallet, make sure you uncheck
It should work after that


IT worked!!! Got my private key!! Smiley

Ok so let me know if I'm right. All I have to do now is backup my .dat file and private key and that's it? I can now update my deeponion to newest version and not risk losing my onions?
