Okay, but what i dont understand is how the 1 BTC on my hardware wallet somehow magically gets 1 Bitcoin Gold andd possible the other two currency? Sorry if im being dumb! Really appreciate your replies 
It is ok. no problem I will explain:
The new coin uses the history (ledger) of BTC.
So all the keys that open coins in BTC will open the same coins in the forked coin.
This is all correct for the amounts available in the wallets before the fork...
After that the amount in the wallet does not matter anymore...
