You get more after a while. Just let the wallet stay open and it will connect to other nodes.
My wallet does not connect more than 8 yet.
Do I need to add a node? create conf file?
For more than 8 u need to port forward in your network router, because your network blocking it... Anyway, 8 connection it's enough for staking
