Unless of course you are a corrupt minister/priest and you milk the church and churchgoers for all of the money they have, then you can go to church and be full of all the 'donations'.. With regard to the actual question, I think money is an important aspect of life and certainly goes some way to providing happiness but it should not be above all else.
