Ah yes, the only three altcoins I have major faith in and am willing to hold for long periods of time. It seems most other coins really have no use.

Same here. Well, I didnt buy yesterday; but I did extensively increase my holdings of Monero by a lot when Monero hit 87 dollars and then I have been holding since then.
