There's no surprise about it. Japan was one (if not the most) of the most high-tech countries in the world. They are the leading country in terms of inventions and innovations. One of the most successful invention was the bitcoin (although Satoshi Nakamoto didn't revealed his identity, I believe that he's a Japanese). That's why I love Japan although I am not a Japanese . They are excellent in creating things that can make life easier, and it won't be a surprise anymore if another cryptocurrency from Japan will succeed.
