No need to regret dude. It's not too late to buy some Bitcoin and hold it cause everything just started and there is still a long way Bitcoin need to go. Bitcoin has very good potential to reach to 10k$ in next 6 months so why don't you believe in Bitcoin this time? Just do it right now and I think you will never have to regret about your decision anymore 
I agree with you that it's not too late to join the bitcoin flight, because the moon trip is for real. You may however want to wait for a market correction, after the recent ATH, so to enter the market below a peak value and avoid lots of drawdown should the market reverse and also to be able to make more profit.
