Today a question came to my mind that which site will be more profitable a gambling site or a dating site? Actually I want to find out that in which place people are more interested and where people mostly want to go to get fun.
I never used dating sites, but I do see a lot of them out there. A dating site is a social site, so you can try to compare it to facebook but with a much focused target, so less clients. I don't think you pay to use the site, so it's value will come from advertising. We all know that Facebook earns millions in advertising, but we can't expect a dating site to earn as much, since it has less customers.
It's really hard to tell, whether a a gambling site or a sating site will be more profitable. It all depends on its user base. If I try to imagine a gambling site and a dating site, with the same user base, I think the gambling site would earn more money, simply because advertisement in a dating site is probably not that expensive. But this is just my opinion, I have no idea how much money a gambling site or a dating site can generate.
There are dating sites which do offer some services like VIP benefits or whatsoever which they can make profits on that one and so as on advertising and same as you said i dont think that earnings would really match up on gambling sites alone. We do know wagering amounts from its players will really generate even more money compared on a dating site.Big money is circulating and playing in gambling industry which i would say that it does really have the edge.
