Some background information on Piex.
Pie coin has reached a new and exciting evolution in its path to becoming one of the premier coins to be used in Social Media Platforms. Pie coin has a humble beginning starting in November of 2016 with an ambitious plan of becoming the go to cryptocurrency for sending and receiving digital money on any social media platform. However, like a lot of different blockchain startups the coin couldnt quite reach the heights it was aiming for and the project was set aside.
This was not the end of the journey for Pie coin. In May of 2017 a dedicated new team picked up where the previous team had left off and were determined to bring the full potential of Pie coin to the market. The current team, which is comprised entirely of volunteers have ambitious plans for Pie coin. This includes the previous plans of launching Social Send and enabling Masternodes along with many other features that will come as more and more people adopt Pie coin.
On September 29th, 2017 Pie coin began the transition to the new blockchain and the new name Piex Coin was born. In addition to the ability to have masternodes, Social Send is currently being tested in the alpha stage. Social Send will allow anyone who holds Piex coin the ability to send Piex coin (cryptocurrency) to anyone on a variety of social media platforms even if they know nothing about and have not heard of cryptocurrency. This can greatly increase the mass adoption of cryptocurrency to everyone on social media platforms such as facebook and twitter.
The Piex coin community is proud and excited to take this next step and we welcome any of you that wish you to explore all that this great coin has to offer. This project did not start as many do these days by raising millions of dollars on a piece of paper and a promise. This project was created the same way bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies were created in the beginning by a small but dedicated group of volunteers with a passion and a mission.
