Unconfirmed transaction is tricky. A transaction needs at least one confirmation to be trusted (the more the better).
This being said, the fact the money shows up soon or late, in a way or another doesn't matter at all while it's not confirmed yet.
From that point, some need one confirmation, some need even 6 confirmations for their and your security. Patience is a virtue and bitcoin's blockchain is not fast...
